My Story
I didn’t always feel comfortable in my own skin. For years, I battled self-doubt, perfectionism, and the constant feeling that I just wasn’t “good enough.” I believed that if I could only be better—smarter, fitter, more successful—then maybe I’d finally be worthy of love and acceptance.
But the more I chased perfection, the further I felt from true happiness. I was constantly striving to become who I thought I should be, instead of embracing who I truly was. This inner conflict slowly began to take a toll on my mental and emotional well-being—and I knew something had to change.
My turning point came through studying psychology. I’ve always been fascinated by human behaviour and the incredible capacity we have for growth and change. When I discovered Abraham Maslow’s concept of self-actualisation, something clicked. The idea that we all have an innate drive to become the most authentic version of ourselves—to live with purpose and alignment—deeply resonated with me.
I became obsessed (in the best way!) with understanding the power of the mind and how our thoughts shape the way we experience the world. Why do some people rise above their challenges and thrive, while others stay stuck in cycles of self-doubt? How can small shifts in mindset lead to radical transformation?
These questions became my passion. I went on to conduct research into human motivation and locus of control—exploring how our beliefs about control and agency influence our actions and resilience. This deepened my understanding of what drives us and, more importantly, what holds us back.
Over time, I pursued qualifications in occupational therapy, NLP, health coaching, and cognitive behavioural therapy—gaining a holistic view of how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours are deeply connected. At the same time, I began my own journey of self-discovery—seeking out mentors, resources, and practices that helped me let go of perfectionism and embrace the healing power of self-acceptance.
This transformation wasn’t easy—but it has been incredibly freeing. As I learned to accept myself—flaws and all—I began to experience more peace, confidence, and joy like never before.
That’s when I knew: I wanted to help others experience the same.
I deeply value both therapy and coaching because meaningful change often requires both reflection and direction.
There are times in life where you need space to slow down — to understand your experiences, make sense of your thoughts and emotions, and recognise the patterns that may be shaping how you show up. Therapy offers that depth. It creates room for insight, self-awareness, and a more compassionate understanding of yourself.
There are also times where you feel ready for something different — where you want to move forward, make changes, and begin living in a way that feels more aligned with who you are. Coaching brings that momentum. It focuses on how you apply what you’ve learned, so you can make intentional, realistic shifts in your life.
I don’t see these approaches as separate. I see them as complementary— creating a more holistic and integrated way of working that supports both understanding and meaningful change.
In my work, this means we don’t stay in insight without movement — and we don’t push for change without understanding. We bring both together, so that the work feels not only supportive, but also structured, practical, and sustainable.
Understanding yourself is important and lasting change happens when you’re able to apply that insight, taking steps forward in a way that feels realistic and supportive.
